LKC Jaguars Intensify Training In Preparation For the Wales Tour

The LKC Team today intensified their preparations for their tour to Wales in the UK in a high intensity two-hour training session. The training session which included the Canon Jaguars was conducted from 0600hrs to 0800hrs. Aware of the cold and wet conditions that they will play under in the UK, the Jaguars were made to play under sprinklers and frequently dipped into the swimming pool.

Speaking on the sidelines of the pitch, the LKC Rugby coach, Dent Patrick intimated that, in Wales "the boys will play in very cold and wet conditions. The ball will be slippery and their bodies numb because of the cold. This training is meant to give our boys a feel of what they should expect". He said. The boys will do this until tuesday to prepare them psychologically.

The Jaguars Manager told lkcrugby News that the boys were ready and raring to go. He expressed confidence in the training that the boys have gone through so far. He also told lkcrugby news that the morale was very high in the Jaguars camp with a timely sponsorship of tour bags from AON Botswana Insurance Company. He said, "The bags will be presented at the school assembly just before the team leaves for UK. The AON Country Director and former Zimbabwe Rugby Union (ZRU) President, Bryn Williams will be invited to present the bags. Mutenheri says he wants to appreciate AON Botswana for the sponsorship and this will motivate the boys to do well in Wales.

The training session ended with the LKC Jaguars playing touch rugby against the Canon Jaguars. The LKC Jaguars are set to leave the country on Thursday 18th February. In Wales they will play against Gower College, Gowerton School and Bryncoch Youth Rugby Club. They will also watch and train with the Welsh National Rugby team currently playing in the Six Nations Rugby Tournament.
Meanwhile all the individual LKC Jaguars boys have contributed clothing and food items which they intend to donate to a needy charity organisation to be identified next week. Speaking to lkcrugby news, the Jaguars Captain, Kao Psycho Chibana praised all the boys for the good gesture and thanked them for having philanthropic hearts. The date for the presentation of the items will be announced in due course. lkcrugby news
