LKC Rugby Team Secures Kit Sponsorship for 2016 Season

The University of Central Florida (UCF) has timely sponsored the Botswana Schoolboy Rugby Champions, The Jaguars, with a playing kit for the upcoming Wales Tour and the 2016 rugby season. This is the second playing kit in 2 years that LKC have secured after they were sponsored with another playing kit for the 2015 season courtesy of Swansea University.
In a very colorful ceremony attended by the Deputy British High Commissioner, H.E Oliver Richards, The AON Botswana
Country Director Bryn Williams and other corporate players, LKC team displayed a high level of organisation and determination to dominate the rugby terrain in Botswana at least in the foreseeable future. The LKC Jaguars Manager, Feddy Mutenheri expressed confidence at the direction which the team was taking in developing the rugby game. " I reckon that at this pace we are the fastest growing team in Botswana and over the past 5 years we have set the agenda for the development of rugby in this country" he said. He expressed gratitude to the corporate world and the various sponsors that have shown interest in supporting the team. " I would like to thank all our sponsors and well wishers for partnering with us to create this great rugby brand called LKC Rugby", he said.

On the 18th of February the LKC Jaguars will embark on a tour to Wales where they will train with the Welsh national team and have a talk with a world renowned referee James Jones. Speaking at the press conference earlier in the day, Jeff Heasman, the co-ordinator of the itinerary said, this was an educational tour and cultural exchange between the UK and Botswana. He said both Wales and Botswana will benefit immensely from this tour and help enrich the LKC students.
The representative of the University of Central Florida said the university was proud to be associated with the LKC Jaguars and were impressed by the culture in the school. He said in future they will continue to see what they can do to partner with the LKC jaguars.

The LKC Jaguars entertained the students, parents and well-wishers present with their war cries and songs. The Haka sent the participants in the state-of-the-art Multipurpose Hall into a frenzy.
